Technical Assistance

Technical assistance is provided through large scale projects developed in collaboration with national, state, and local organizations.   One example of this type of technical assistance is the Center’s large-scale training initiative with Florida’s Title V agency, Children’s Medical Services (CMS).  Under this training initiative the Center conducted a statewide electronic needs assessment to determine the immediate and long-term training needs of the nurses and social workers throughout Florida’s Children’s Medical Services Network.  Webcasting was determined to be an effective mechanism to deliver training on current issues in the field, as it substantially increases the number of nurses and social workers who are able to benefit from training.  Two webcasts,  one on Adherence and  the second on Use of Psychotropic Medications, received high marks.
